WOODLANDS FAMILY COUNSELLING
Support for Personal and Relational Concerns.
The story we tell ourselves is vitally important to our mental health.
What is so empowering is that we get to write the script.
MEET LARRY
Larry understands the unique pressures people face in today’s world. As a licensed, certified professional counselor, he has been supporting clients in-person in the Columbia Valley and online for over thirteen years. After earning his M.A. in Counselling Psychology, Larry continued to study the marital friendship in depth through the Gottman Institute (Levels 1 and 2) and the parent/child relationship through the Neufeld Institute (Intensives 1 to 4). Larry is passionate about working with people to create thriving families. He also has extensive experience helping individuals make sense of anxiety. Whether you are looking for some stress management tools or feel like you have lost your way, Woodlands is a good place to find the trail.

SERVICES OFFERED

PERSONAL SUPPORT
Sometimes we just need a safe, confidential place where we can talk about our troubles. Many people find that just by telling someone else about their problems, they already feel better. Other times, additional tools or a change in perception will be needed to address our concerns. Either way, schedule an appointment to see how I can help.
COUPLES SUPPORT
I believe that many couples that end up divorcing shouldn’t have had to. If couples can learn to under react to the negative feelings that usually accompany relational tension, they create a good chance of turning things around, and discover that their current spouse provides the best chance for relational contentment. Call me to see if I can help you rebuild your relational friendship.
PARENTING SUPPORT
Recapturing the joy of parenting is of special interest to me. Many behavioural challenges can be sorted out by empowering parents with key attachment principles. If at all possible, I prefer to work with parents and not with the children directly, as this keeps the parents where they should be, in charge of the situation, at least as far as the child is concerned. Let me know if I can help you navigate some parental hurdles.
